First Snow

This weekend we had the first snow of the year. It started on Saturday and this is the sight I woke up to Sunday morning:

I love the first snow. It came a little early this year but there is something magical about waking up and finding your world transformed. It has already pretty much melted and I still want some more autumn weather but it was fun for a day. Nathan couldn't remember what snow was like and he thought it was really cool. The girls got really excited to start snow skiing again. The three kids put on their snow clothes and went out to play. Nathan came in crying with cold hands and we all had some hot chocolate.
